Langt efter de har passeret deres 35. leveår træder THE TOASTERS på speederen i stedet for på bremsen.

Deres globale turnéer fortsætter ufortrødent og senere på året udsender de deres næste album, Life Is A Party, på Rarebreed Records, som drives af Vinnie Fiorelle (Less Than Jake) og Obi Fernandez (Westbound Train). Derudover udsender de til efteråret en eksklusiv 7” på det danske reggae label imprint Tighten Up!

Dannet i NYC (Lower East Side) tilbage i 1981 er THE TOASTERS uden sammenligning det længstlevende amerikanske skaband, der dannede bro mellem UKs 2-Tone ska og den amerikanske ska eksplosion i 1990’erne, som de fortjent er krediteret for at have startet.
